This holds no law. There is no corpus behind this page, nothing is fetched, and nothing you type is written down. You supply the text and your reading of it; the engine supplies the consequence, and the same input always prints the same bytes.

It has no opinion about whether your reading is right. It applies it mechanically. If what comes out is wrong, either the reading was wrong or the engine is — and because the output is deterministic, that is a question with an answer. Finding the second kind is the point of this page.

What the engine printed

The text you are reading from

Where the words came from, and what kind of document it was. The last one matters more than it sounds: outside Brčko District a consolidated current text is usually not an official act at all, and the engine prints that on every answer rather than letting a reader assume otherwise.

Its full title, in the language it was published in.
Used mid-sentence in the output. Left empty, the full title is used.
Jurisdiction is part of the question here, not metadata attached afterwards.
Every answer carries this. The document most useful to a reader is often exactly the one carrying no authority.
In the source's own words where you can. For an unofficial consolidation, the header usually says so.
Comma separated. The unit of publication here is the issue, not the law, so the engine will not accept an act that names none.
A URL or a citation. It is printed under the answer.
YYYY-MM-DD. A text read in March and a text read in September may not be the same text, and nothing in the document tells you which one you are holding.
For example: Articles 47 to 52 only. Every silence and every miss in the output is scoped by this sentence, so it has to be true.

The provisions, and what you read them to do

Up to three provisions, each doing up to two things. The quote is verbatim source text or nothing — the engine keeps quoted text and your reading of it strictly apart, and a test fails the build if a paraphrase is ever printed as a quotation.

Provision 1

The facts, and the silences

A fact declared here can be named as missing. That is most of what this engine is for: an answer that names what it does not have is the answer a competent person gives, and unlike a number it can be checked.

One per line: key | what to call it | what it decides. The key is what you use in a condition and in the facts you supply below.
One per line: the fact | a note. This is recorded, never inferred. "Nothing in Articles 47 to 52 makes this relevant" is a statement about what you read, and it is not the same as "this does not matter".

The question

One tag, no spaces. Everything above is filed under it and the question asks about it. Change it to something the provisions do not cover and watch the engine return not_covered rather than reaching for the nearest article.
Leave it unstated and the engine refuses to read the act at all, because in Republika Srpska or Brčko this would be a different law. That refusal is deliberate.
YYYY-MM-DD. The engine will not place your text in time and prints "Not established" for it: no source surveyed publishes entry into force and beginning of application in a form a machine can read. That is the finding, not a gap in this form.
One per line: key = value, using the keys declared above. Anything you leave out is not false — it comes back as a conditional bound and a named missing fact. Try submitting with this empty, then with age = under_18.
